Brickyard 400 tickets sales down

UPDATE #3 It was hard to hide the estimated 100,000 empty seats at the 225,000-seat Indianapolis Motor Speedway Sunday for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Brickyard 400. The attendance is the lowest at the Speedway since NASCAR first came to Indy back in 1994.

07/23/10 Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday will host the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Brickyard 400, and track CEO Jeff Belskus said advance ticket sales are "running well behind last year," when there was an estimated crowd of 180,000. The track has "more than 257,000 seats." Belskus: "We're still going to have a huge crowd, just less of a huge crowd than in previous years."

07/21/10 Correction – The Friday practice GA tickets are $10. The race is $40 per ticket for General Admission. In both cases children under 12 are free. There will also be a Radio Disney Concert for the kids.

07/21/10 The Brickyard is offering General Admission tickets for this weekend's Brickyard 400 at $10.00 and, with the ticket lets all kids under 12 get in free with the ticket holder.
