Leno to be Grand Marshal

Jay Leno’s motorcycle collection has landed him a new gig — grand marshal of the Indianapolis MotoGP. He will meet with the MotoGP teams on race day, Aug. 29, and then present the trophy to the winner after the race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

It will be something of a return trip for the late-night television host who drove the pace car for the 1999 Indianapolis 500.

This time, Leno will be watching, not driving. He plans to keep his motorcycles, and cars, at home in what he calls the "Big Dog Garage." In July, Leno showed off his collection to current and former MotoGP riders before the race at Laguna Seca.
