New front and rear wings for Williams

Williams will be introducing new versions of its front and rear wings in Belgium this weekend, with Rubens Barrichello and Nico Hülkenberg heading to the legendary track after both scoring last time out in Budapest.

Currently seventh in the Constructors’ Championship, Williams sits just seven points in arrears of Force India and is therefore engaged in a contest for sixth which also involves Sauber, which is in-turn 17 points behind the Grove outfit.

“Spa is a fantastic circuit and a definite challenge for the engineers and drivers," Williams Technical Director Sam Michael explained.

“Sectors 1 and 3 require low drag while Sector 2 requires maximum downforce, so a well compromised setup is crucial for getting a quick lap time. Spa is a real driver’s circuit and one of the greatest layouts we have on the calendar.

“We will have new front and rear wings plus some mechanical changes for the FW32 for this race. We’re also looking forward to celebrating Rubens’ 300th Grand Prix in Belgium – an impressive achievement!"
