Ganassi team picks up new associate sponsor

Chip Ganassi Racing Teams, Inc. today announces that it has partnered with CNC and machining technology leader Okuma to become an associate sponsor during the 2011 racing season on the No. 9 and No. 10 Indy cars driven by Scott Dixon and Dario Franchitti in the IZOD IndyCar Series, in addition on the No. 01 Daytona Prototype driven by 2010 series champions Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas in the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series.

As part of the relationship, the Indianapolis-based race teams will utilize Okuma CNC and machining technology to construct the parts and equipment that have contributed to more than 100 race wins across Indy car and sports car racing.
