No Friday Singapore running for di Resta

Force India F1 Team’s test and reserve driver Paul di Resta will have to sit out practice at the Singapore Grand Prix this week, it has been confirmed, as the team has some new parts it wants to evaluate ahead of the fifteenth round in the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship.

di Resta, who is also competing in the DTM this season, has taken part in first practice on a Friday eight times so far this year, his last run coming two weeks ago at the Italian Grand Prix.

“Unfortunately I won't be out in Singapore as it's such a crucial race for the team, with so much to play for in the championship and a few new parts on the car," explained the Brit.

“All the same I'll be with the team the whole weekend and I'm excited about going there, as there will be some challenges I've not encountered so far this year. It will be another street track, and it will obviously be in the dark for most of the running so the whole approach to the weekend will be different.

“Everyone says how nice it is, not only the circuit, but also the city so in some of the free time I'll try and do some exploring and get a feel for the country.

“I'm really looking forward to it and am going to try and help the team as much as I can over the weekend."
