Sutil fined $10,000 for Friday incident
Adrian Sutil has been handed a fine of 10,000 dollars (6,300 pounds) for an incident considered dangerous by Formula 1 governing body the FIA in Singapore’s second free practice session on Friday.
The moment began when the Force India became airborne over the curbs of the Singapore Sling Chicane before landing heavily and destroying its front suspension.
However, despite the loose wheel, the German failed to stop immediately.
‘The driver, having experienced serious mechanical difficulties, did not leave the track as soon as it was safe to do so, and this was also potentially dangerous to spectators, marshals and other drivers,’ reads an FIA statement.
