Turner Motorsports buys Braun Racing

The Turner Motorsports team has acquired the Braun Racing team, it announced on Sept. 24.

This year, Turner Motorsports races the No. 4 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Ricky Carmichael and the No. 31 Silverado driven by James Buescher in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The team will expand to include the No. 10, No. 11, No. 32 and No. 38 Nationwide Series teams that were part of Braun Racing.

Braun’s rotating 2010 driver lineup has consisted of Kasey Kahne, Reed Sorenson, Jason Leffler, Brian Vickers, Brian Scott, David Reutimann, Tayler Malsam and Jacques Villeneuve.

The six-team effort will work out of Braun Racing’s facility in Mooresville, N.C.

Turner Motorsports says it plans to race three trucks and three Nationwide cars next season.
