Race Track sponsors driver in ALMS race

Monticello Motor Club, an automotive country club and lifestyle resort located 90 minutes from Manhattan, is sponsoring racer Eric Lux in his debut drive in the Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta. Lux of Williamsville, NY will be co-driving the #36 Genoa Racing Oreca LMPC entry with Frankie Montecalvo of Highlands, NJ and Denver, CO’s Alex Figge. The car had a podium finish in its last race at Mosport while its sister car won the class.

"I am very excited to have the opportunity to race the Le Mans Series Prototype Challenge (LMPC) car for Monticello Motor Club," said Lux. “Petit Le Mans is a historic race, and I believe this car will be an absolute blast to drive at Road Atlanta."

Monticello Motor Club President Ari Straus will be attending the race. “Eric is a talented racer who always takes time for the fans. He never gives up no matter what kind of car he is racing and gives 100% both on and off the track. Eric has been sharing his passion for the sport with our club members, and we look forward to cheering him on in the Petit as the #36 carries the Monticello Motor Club logo into battle."

Qualifying for the Petit Le Mans prototype classes will be held on Friday, October 1 at 3:50 pm, with the 10-hour race scheduled to start at 11:30 am on Saturday. Live coverage begins at 11 am on SpeedTV.
