Japanese GP: Vettel tops Practice 1

The Red Bull F1 team topped opening practice at a dry and sunny Suzuka, Japan. Last year's Japanese Grand Prix winner Sebastian Vettel led teammate Mark Webber.

Lewis Hamilton crashing heavily at Degner halfway through the session, when he ran slightly wide at the first part of the fast, downhill double right-hander, then plowed through the gravel and damaged the car's left front against the barriers.
