F2 announces December testing

Formula 2 championship organizers MotorSport Vision have confirmed that the series will be travelling Portugal and Spain for four days of testing prior to Christmas, with Portimão and Barcelona being the two venues.

The tests, which will both be staged in the first half of December, are open to any driver – providing they receive official F2 approval – and will feature the Williams-designed JPH1B car, which boasts a cockpit-adjustable front wing and anti-roll bar, semi-automatic paddle shift gearboxes and an overboost button to allow an increase to 480 brake horsepower in bursts of six seconds.

Full on-board videos will also be made available for drivers and two new sets of tires will be handed out to each runner as a new day begins. On top of that, they will also be able to offer full hospitality at the tests for family members, guests or sponsors.

Formula 2’s post-season testing schedule looks like this:

Portimão, Portugal 2-3 December
Barcelona, Spain 9-10 December
