SCCA Pro Racing President and CEO Wildberger Resigns
Wildberger has served as the SCCA Pro Racing president and CEO since December of 2006.
“My tenure as president and CEO of SCCA Pro Racing has been an opportunity of a lifetime," Wildberger said. “I thank the Board of Directors for their vote of confidence allowing me to lead the revitalization and growth of Pro. In just four years we have more than doubled the number of Pro sanctioned race series and put the company on a sound financial footing – poised for continued growth into the future. I have decided to pursue new challenges and a new chapter in my life. My experience and successes at Pro will prove invaluable."
As SCCA Pro Racing president and CEO, Wildberger was in charge of a sanctioning body that counts the World Challenge Championships, Trans-Am Series, Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup, Pro Spec Racer Ford, Pro Formula Enterprises, the F2000 Championship Series and Volkswagen TDI Cup among the motorsports properties that it owns or sanctions.
“All of us at SCCA Pro Racing are sad to see Bob leave and we wish him every success in his next endeavor," Mike Lewis, SCCA Pro Racing Board of Directors Treasurer, said. “He has done a wonderful job in very tough circumstances over the past few years. The dedication and energy he brought to the position were invaluable, but I believe his passion for the sport was his biggest asset."
Details on the executive succession plan for SCCA Pro Racing will be announced as they become available.
