How did we know Vettel was F1’s best?
A reader asks, Dear AutoRacing1.com, You called Sebastian Vettel F1's greatest driver of this era way back when he drove for lowly Toro Rosso. How did you know? Renee Richardson
Dear Renee, First he buried his teammate Sebastien Bourdais at Toro Rosso (made him look silly really) but the clincher for us is when he won in the wet at Monza that same year in a car (Toro Rosso) that was a back of the grid machine. It was on that day we concluded he could be the next Ayrton Senna, who made a similar splash in F1, also in the wet his rookie year at Monaco. The rain separates the great drivers from the wankers. Our prediction has come true and as he matures beyond his young 23 years of age he will only get better. Mark C.
