Homestead Truck series TV Rating
According to Nielsen Media Research, despite the points race already being settled, ratings for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race from Homestead-Miami were up 10 percent year-to-year, with Friday night’s live coverage on SPEED scoring a 0.80 (617,000 households) against last year’s 0.73 (546,000 households). The race, won by Kyle Busch, peaked at a 1.05 (810,000 households; 1.1 million viewers), up 17 percent from last year’s peak of 0.90 (668,000 households).
After early season postponements at Daytona (rain) and Gateway (electrical) put the series in a ratings hole, the Trucks finished strong with viewers, scoring increases in eight of the last 13 events (Pocono up 78%, Darlington up 19%, Bristol up 3%, Kentucky up 115%, Las Vegas up 17%, Martinsville up 41%, Texas up 6% and Homestead). Since July, NCWTS ratings are up 3 percent year-to-year.
