ISC to shorten races

Auto Club Speedway and Richmond Int’l Raceway, both ISC-owned tracks, “revealed significant changes" today. ACS President Gillian Zucker said that the March 27 race at her Fontana, Calif., track – ACS’ only Sprint Cup Series event in ’11 – will be “shortened from 500 miles to 400." The race had been known as the Auto Club 500. Also, RIR President Doug Fritz today announced that the track’s grandstands “will be smoke-free beginning this season." Fans who smoke “may continue to do so, but in approved areas only" SpeedTV.com
