Acer links up with Ducati
“Both Acer and Ducati have proved that teamwork and the spirit of competition can turn ambitious goals into concrete results," Gianpiero Moerbello, Corporate Vice President of Marketing and Brand at Acer, said about the agreement.
"We decided to sign this important new partnership with the belief that the combination of the two brands will have a positive value for Acer, as well as to strengthen their commitment to the world of motorsport."
Filippo Preziosi, Ducati Corse General Director, added:
“The agreement with Acer for us represents an achievement of an important goal. Acer shall be a partner that not only is able to provide reliable and high performance systems, but also a great experience in the racing world. With this agreement we have achieved both goals, in the delicate project engineering work also in the demanding and dynamic activity of the track."
Ducati also highlighted the areas in which it hopes to benefit from the technology Acer has produced: "Ducati will benefit from the most modern and efficient systems for the 3D CAD for their engine's design; from systems based on high performance computing for fluid dynamics simulation, as well as high-performance mobile devices that deliver the power necessary for processing telemetry data analysis," the press release stated.
Ducati is currently enjoying its annual one week 'Vrooom' event at Madonna di Campiglio, in north-east Italy.
