ABC Announces IndyCar broadcast team for 2011

The team working ABC's five IndyCar races in 2011 will remain largely intact, with a few tweaks, according to ESPN PR.

The main lineup will be Marty Reid and Scott Goodyear in the booth with Rick DeBruhl, Jamie Little and Vince Welch in the pits.

Vince Welch will move into the lap-by-lap announcer role for the race at New Hampshire as Marty Reid will be calling the ESPN telecast of the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Watkins Glen that day. Gary Gerould, a pit reporter on ESPN's NHRA coverage and a veteran of many IndyCar/CART telecasts, will sub for Vince in the pits for that race.

For the Indianapolis 500, Eddie Cheever will again join the booth and Dr. Jerry Punch will be the fourth pit reporter. Cheever also will join the booth for the soon to be announced Las Vegas season finale race.

ABC is set to broadcast St. Petersburg on Mar. 27, Indy on May 29, Milwaukee on June 19, New Hampshire on Aug. 14 and the season finale in Las Vegas on October 16th.
