Sutil’s wet dream – a Ferrari seat

Like every other driver in this world, Sutil's wet dream is to drive for Ferrari

Adrian Sutil is expected to be confirmed as a Force India driver for the 2011 season on Wednesday, but he admits to dreams of driving for Ferrari.

The German impressed throughout the 2010 season, leading to rumors that he was on his way to one of the top four teams. While this will not transpire in 2011, Sutil has indicated his love of all things Ferrari.

"I think the road cars are cool. I think the racing team is cool. I think the color is cool. It is something very special," Sutil told Auto Moto und Sport.

Having enjoyed many a battle with Lewis Hamilton during the duo's time in the Formula 3 Euroseries when they were team-mates at the ASM outfit, Sutil is keen to revive the relationship.

"I would love to drive in a team with Lewis Hamilton again," he admitted.

While driving for Ferrari and partnering World Champions may seem like big dreams for a man who is yet to record a podium finish, the Force India hierarchy have no doubts about Sutil's talent.

"In terms of driving, he sits directly behind Alonso, Hamilton, Vettel and Kubica among the category of the top drivers in F1," said Force India CEO Otmar Szafnauer.

Team owner Vijay Mallya echoed Szafnauer's sentiments, saying he expected Sutil to continue to improve.

"He has grown with the team and contributed to our improvements," said Mallya.

"He is also developing personally and I expect this upwards trend to continue," he added. Planet F1
