Ostella fast in first Indy Lights test

David Ostella testing at Sebring Sunday

Jensen MotorSport driver David Ostella kicked-off his 2011 Firestone Indy Lights season with a strong test at Sebring Raceway on Sunday January 30th.

Ostella drove a total of 180 miles on the Sebring short-course, clocking a best time of 58.4 seconds on a new tire run late in the afternoon.

Jensen MotorSport Chief Technical Officer Remi Lanteigne stated, “It was a really productive test for David and for our team. This was David’s first time driving the Indy Lights car on a road course, and he did a very professional job to achieve all of our objectives at our first test of the year."

David Ostella stated, “My first test went really well. There is a big increase in power and weight with the Indy Lights car as compared to the Star Mazda race car that I have been driving the past 2 seasons. But with knowledgeable guidance from my engineer Remi Lanteigne, we were quickly able to set competitive times with the other teams testing."
