Intersport Racing Re-Signs Kyle Marcelli for 2011 ALMS Campaign
Intersport Racing picked up the Canadian talent at the end of 2008 fresh after finishing third in the Pro USF2000 Championship and posting a 4th place finish in a single Star Mazda Championship one-off race. In 2009 the team put Marcelli in their Prototype Lites #37 for a limited championship running only 10 of 14 races. Marcelli wowed as he earned a podium finish the first time out and followed it up with multiple race wins. At the completion of the 2009 season, Intersport Racing put Marcelli behind the wheel of their LMP1 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Kyle showed very well adapting to the much more powerful and advanced race car earning him a drive in the American Le Mans Series for 2010. Marcelli piloted the teams #89 LMPC where again he impressed recording two 2nd place finishes. For 2011 Kyle Marcelli will co-drive the #89 LMPC for Intersport Racing en route to end goal of a team and driver championship.

With the inaugural 12 hours of Sebring only two weeks away, the team is in the final stages of preparation. The 59th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring presented by Fresh from Florida is set for 10:30 a.m. ET on Saturday, March 19. The race will be shown live and in its entirety on ESPN3.com and americanlemans.com starting at 10 a.m. ET. ABC will provide coverage from 12:30 to 2 p.m. ET on Sunday, March 20.
