Honda USA to Support US Touring Car Championship

The Nitto Tires United States Touring Car Championship (USTCC) announced today that Honda Performance Development (HPD), a subsidiary of American Honda, will provide cash awards for teams competing in Honda cars in the USTCC in 2011. Under the program rules, teams using 2006 and newer Honda Civics will be eligible to win as much as $1000 for a win in USTCC with an additional $2000 bonus for winning the championship. Teams need to follow certain guidelines and meet eligibility requirements which can be obtained at www.ustcc.com.

“It is fantastic to have Honda officially on board as a contingency program supporter. With Honda joining several other manufacturers providing cash awards for racing their brands, this could only be great news for teams wishing to race in USTCC," said Ali Arsham, USTCC Director.

The USTCC season starts on April 16-17, 2011 at Thunderhill Raceway in Willows, CA.
