Final F1 test day morning washed out
The final day of pre-season has got under way in torrential conditions, with standing water pretty much covering the entire length of the Circuit de Catalunya.
Only four teams – Ferrari, McLaren, Mercedes and Williams – are still testing at the circuit after seven of the others opted to run over the previous four days when the circuit was dry. HRT had planned to give its 2011 car its track debut on Saturday, but due to parts getting stuck in customs is unable to run.
After an hour of the morning session, Michael Schumacher and Pastor Maldonado were the only two drivers to brave the treacherous conditions, both completing single installation laps and returning to the pits.
