'We have a lot of work ahead, but we have put a stellar group of engineers and mechanics together continuing the strongest possible effort for the Boy Scouts and our family of supporters.'
Sebastien's resume is impressive. During his 5 year run in Champ Car he amassed 31 wins and a highly coveted four consecutive Championships from 2004 through 2007. Prior to the talented Frenchman coming to America, he enjoyed much success in smaller formula cars including three years in Formula 3000, winning the highly competitive Championship in 2002.
After his last full season in Champ Car in 2007, Sebastien would move to Formula 1 with Toro Rosso in 2008 and 2009. In the mean time Sebastien was named to the factory Peugeot team in 2007 and will share his 2011 driving duties between IndyCar and the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup.
'My home town is Le Mans, and to win there is very important to me,' commented Bourdais. 'But winning here in the States is equally as important, and I want to thank Dale for the impressive effort he is putting forth in what is a very competitive series.'
Sebastien is in his American home town of St. Petersburg, Florida with his wife Claire and two young children as they prepare to return to the race that started his IndyCar career in 2003. This weekend's race will be televised by ABC at 12:30 EST, Sunday, March 27th.
