Sarah Fisher is pregnant, won’t race at Indy

Izod IndyCar Series team owner and driver Sarah Fisher won’t compete in this year’s 100th-anniversary Indianapolis 500 as a driver. Fisher on Thursday announced on her Web site that she’s four months pregnant with her first child. She is due on Sept. 29.
Ed Carpenter is scheduled to make his season debut with the team in May. It’s also possible that the Indianapolis-based SFR could field a second car.
Fisher is married to the race team’s crew chief, Andy O’Gara.
