Milwaukee IndyCar race gains some sponsors

Time Warner Cable and Famous Dave’s Legendary Pit Barb-B-Que Restaurants are the latest event sponsors for the upcoming Milwaukee 225 IZOD IndyCar Series event set for Father’s Day weekend, June 18-19, on the famed Milwaukee Mile oval at the Wisconsin State Fair Park.

Both Time Warner and Famous Dave’s, who join other race sponsors such as Coors Light, David Hobbs Honda, Comfort Inn & Suites, Cantaloupe and the Milwaukee Bucks, will provide special race packages for the exciting 185-mile-per-hour action on the historic one-mile oval track.

The Milwaukee 225, an AB Promotions event, will be contested on the nation’s longest-running auto racing facility (since 1903) and will feature many of North America’s most talented drivers including defending IZOD IndyCar Series champion and Indianapolis 500 winner Dario Franchitti, three-time Indy 500 titleholder Helio Castroneves, two-time series champion and 2009 Milwaukee winner Scott Dixon, former Milwaukee Mile race winners Ryan Briscoe and Ryan Hunter-Reay, and young stars Graham Rahal and Marco Andretti, and female sensations Danica Patrick and Simona de Silvestro.

We believe Time Warner and Famous Dave’s will give racing fans some outstanding offers for the Father Day’s Weekend Classic."

Time Warner, the second-largest cable operator in the U.S. with 14.4 million customer relationships, serves subscribers in 26 states including a large portion of Wisconsin. Time Warner, established in 1949, provides service in its video, high-speed data and voice programming.

Time Warner subscribers will receive exclusive offers for the Milwaukee Mile weekend and Time Warner Cable retail locations will feature Milwaukee 225 activities including special events. Time Warner also will activate Milwaukee 225 incentives for customer loyalty and subscriber rewards.

Famous Dave’s, founded by Dave Anderson in Hayward, Wisconsin in 1994, is located in 37 states and has won over 200 awards including the “Best BBQ Sauce in America" and the “Best Salad" (Crispy Chicken Jump-off). Most recently, Famous Dave’s won the prestigious Silver Plate, given for “foodservice operators who epitomize the best of class."

At the Milwaukee 225, Famous Dave’s Corner will be located in the Turn Four with Stand ZZ reserved for IndyCar Series fans as well as Famous Dave’s enthusiasts. A limited number of seats are reserved for fans who will receive admission and “All You Can Eat" and “All You Can Drink" (with restrictions) for a low price of $65 per person.

The first 100 online Famous Dave’s Corner ticket buyers also will a $10 gift certificate to participating Famous Dave’s locations. Selected Famous Dave’s also have race tickets on sale.

The Milwaukee 225 weekend will give the racing fan seven unique levels of competition including the IZOD IndyCar Series, Firestone Indy Lights, Formula Mazda, US Formula 2000, USAC Silver Crown, USAC Midgets and USAC .25 Midgets (on the special short track).

The action-packed weekend features ticket prices as low as $30 for Sunday infield general admission for adults, $15 for teenagers (12-16) and children under 12 are free. Sunday grandstand tickets begin at $35.
