Shanghai weather should be OK
No significant showers are expected to affect proceedings for the Chinese Grand Prix this weekend. Since debuting on the calendar in 2004, three of Shanghai’s seven Formula 1 races have been affected by rain.
After conditions remained favorable as the first media gatherings were staged on Thursday, a clear night greeted the community which headed back to hotels. Although light rain could fall on Friday, the weekend is forecast to stay dry if not somewhat overcast. Temperatures will range between lows of 6 and highs of 21°C (43-79°F).
Shanghai’s wettest event to date remains 2009, with Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber having celebrated Red Bull’s first Grand Prix victory and a 1-2 result.
