Long Beach: Power tops opening IndyCar practice

He didn't top the session until the final minutes, but as he has so many times the past two seasons, Verizon Penske driver Will Power owns the IndyCar street and road circuits and was again fastest this morning in Long Beach.

Power's time of 1m11.410s topped last year's Long Beach winner Ryan Hunter-Reay by just 0.190s.

Scott Dixon, Justin Wilson and Ryan Briscoe rounded out the top-5.

Paul Tracy, making his return to IndyCar with Dragon Racing, was a respectable 15th. Ana Breatriz stuffed it in the tires and finished last.
