One year later Formula One raced at Long Beach and ran from 1976-1983. In 1984 Indy Car started racing at Long Beach under different sanctioning bodies – CART Indy Car from 1984-2003, Champ Car from 2004-2008 and now the Indy Racing League's Indy Car Series.
