Williams eyes ‘Olympic’ F1 sale talks
(GMM) Sir Frank Williams on Friday said he would pay to be a fly on the wall as negotiations to sell formula one heat up.
News Corporation and the Ferrari-linked Exor company are interested in buying the sport from CVC but Williams predicted the talks will be "Olympic sized" in the coming weeks.
The negotiations would also involve the teams, Bernie Ecclestone and the FIA, and another consideration is the expiring Concorde Agreement.
"It would be an Olympic-sized negotiation," Williams told Bloomberg in London. "I would pay a lot of money just to listen," he added.
