D’Ambrosio slapped with grid penalty
Virgin Racing's Jerome d'Ambrosio has been slapped with a five-place grid penalty for Sunday's Turkish Grand Prix. The 25-year-old was hit with the penalty after he ignored yellow flags during second practice at Istanbul Park on Friday afternoon. The stewards, after studying video evidence, found that the Belgian failed to slow down when Williams driver Pastor Maldonado spun his car at Turn 8. As the d'Ambrosio failed to make it out of Q1 in his first three F1 races this year, it means he will probably start the race from the back of the grid.
