Horner delighted with win in Turkey
Red Bull Racing boss Christian Horner was delighted with the performance of his drivers Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber during this afternoon’s Turkish Grand Prix, with the pair securing a controlled 1-2 victory ahead of Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso. The squad is now 43 points ahead of McLaren in the constructor’s battle, while Vettel moves 34 points clear at the top of the drivers’ championship.
"It’s a very sweet victory today and brilliantly executed by both drivers, fantastic pit work, a good strategy and a great race," Horner told BBC Sport after the race.
"It was good racing with Mark, he needed to pass Alonso and he made it stick. He had a new set of Primes that we kept until the end of the race there and it really worked out well for him."
