Heidfeld blames Petrov
Nick Heidfeld has criticized Renault teammate Vitaly Petrov after the duo came into contact during Sunday’s Turkish Grand Prix. Although the German eventually finished ahead of the Russian in seventh and eight places, the touch came as the latter made a mid-race pass on the inside of Turn 13.
“That's not nice and it shouldn't happen," Heidfeld told BBC Sport. “He just pushed me wide, we made contact and that’s not a safe thing to do."
“I'm happy with the pace, which was good, but I was in traffic for most of the time," he continued. “I could easily have got a better result in more free space but at least we have the race pace."
