Timothy Peters Tops NASCAR Truck Qualifying

Timothy Peters captured the pole for Friday nights North Carolina Education Lottery 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Peters turned a lap of 30.474 seconds (177.200 mph) to beat out Clint Bowyer and Austin Dillon for his fourth career truck series pole and best ever start at the 1.5-mile quad oval.
Brad Sweet and James Buescher rounded out the top five qualifiers. Former Formula One champion Kimi Raikkonen qualified for his first career NASCAR Series event in 31st.
