CDW Jumps Back in the Drivers Seat with Newman/Haas Racing Car in Indy 500

CDW LLC, a leading provider of technology solutions to business, government, education and healthcare, today announced it will be the major sponsor of the No. 2 Newman/Haas Racing (NHR) Car driven by Oriol Servia in the 2011 Indianapolis 500.

"As a leader in technology solutions, we make technology work for our customers and deliver results with speed and accuracy," said John A. Edwardson, chairman and chief executive officer, CDW. "Like CDW, Newman/Haas 'Gets IT.' Our sponsorship of the No. 2 car in the Indianapolis 500 will further associate our brand with excellence and performance in one of the world’s most prominent sporting events."

The car will be driven by Oriol Servia, who will start in the front row after qualifying third overall. Servia is currently ranked third in the IndyCar Series Standings and will be making his third start at the Indianapolis 500.

"I raced a CDW-sponsored car at Chicago in 2008 and have always been impressed with the company," said Indy car driver Oriol Servia. "I myself am interested in high tech things so I have known them for a while. They have been supportive of racing in the past and it is great to have them involved in the Indy 500 with us."

This marks the third time CDW has been involved with major open-wheel racing. In 2006 and 2007, the company sponsored the No. 9 CDW/RuSPORT/RSPORTS Car driven by Justin Wilson in The Champ Car World Series. CDW also sponsored Oriol Servia at the 2008 Indy Car race at the Chicagoland Speedway.
