Schumacher exited about two DRS zones
From next weekend’s Canadian Grand Prix onwards, Formula 1 governing body the FIA will be placing two DRS zones on the circuits. The increased overtaking opportunities on a track which has traditionally featured much passing is a cause for excitement for Michael Schumacher, who has won in Montreal seven times.
“We have the two DRS zones this year for the first time, so it will be interesting to see the impact that this makes," Mercedes’ seven-time World Champion said on Friday.
“It is really difficult to have an idea of how our car will perform in Montreal. There is no doubt that Monaco was a tough weekend for the team but, as always, we will learn our lessons and be ready to fight again in Canada."
Two DRS zones will also be in place for the following European Grand Prix and this is likely to be the case for the remainder of the season, if deemed successful.
