Rahal Letterman Lanigan Celebrates Team’s Past and Present With New Website
The team today launched its new-look website at www.rahal.com where fans can get the latest information on the championship-winning BMW Team RLL program in the American Le Mans Series as well as the efforts in the IZOD Indy Car Series. The site will feature all of the latest results, schedules and news from the team, as well as photos from races around the world.
“We wanted to provide a site that celebrates what we have been able to accomplish in our 20 years of racing, while realizing that in this age of the 24-hour-a-day news cycle we have to provide a place for our fans to keep up with our team," said Chief Operating Officer Scott Roembke. “We wanted to balance the site and make it informative and interesting, but we also wanted to make it easy for fans to find exactly what they needed. We feel that we have done that with this upgrade, and we will continue to work toward improving it as the seasons go by."
The site features a history section that houses detailed statistical and editorial information for each year, as well as photos of the cars and drivers. This is a section that will continue to be enhanced throughout the year and will provide a point of reference for fans. The team’s deep photo library will also show how the Indy Cars have evolved, as has the team and its driver lineup.
The new rahal.com website was designed by Jeff Trebonik. Jeff is a long time IT professional, with a background in web design, working in the field as a network manager. He has expertise in building network infrastructure, virtual environments, as well as websites and can be contacted at jeff@acetrebo.net. The site’s home page features a checkered flag motif with subdued images that light up as you mouse over them, and become links to the various sections of the site. There are also opportunities for fans to comment on stories and news items as they come onto the site.
“Jeff has been great throughout this whole project and we are pleased with the results of our collaboration," said RLL Director of Communications Eric Mauk. “We wanted a site that gave us flexibility to expand and continue to grow and we feel that we have it with this edition of rahal.com. We will continue to grow the site and populate it not only with the most recent information from Indy Car and the ALMS, but will also work diligently to expand the historical aspect of the site. We hope that our fans will enjoy it and will use it to follow Rahal Letterman Lanigan as we chase the checkered flag!"
