Jensen MotorSport announces new technical partner
Team owner Eric Jensen states, “During this year’s Indy 500 event, our Freightliner Team Jensen Indy Lights race car – which is powered by an ODYSSEY® battery – set a new Lap Record at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway with an average speed of 192.672 mph. So we are thrilled to this week announce one of our valued suppliers will become a feature team partner."
ODYSSEY® batteries will begin the association at the prestigious Montreal Grand Prix Formula One event the weekend of June 10 th – 12 th. Three talented young drivers will race for Jensen MotorSport in the Formula Tour 1600 races at Montreal, including Ryan Tveter (17), Thomas MacGregor (18) and Shelby Blackstock (20).
ODYSSEY® batteries by EnerSys® will also be an integral part of the Jensen MotorSport team as it competes in the Indy Lights championship together with the IZOD IndyCar Championship at major races across North America including the Honda Indy Toronto (July), the inaugural Baltimore Grand Prix (September), and the Las Vegas Grand Prix (October). David Ostella is currently 8 th in the Firestone Indy Lights Championship driving the Global Precast Team Jensen race car, and Juan Pablo Garcia is 15 th driving the Freightliner Team Jensen race car.
