Wilson Sporting Goods Named Official Apparel Provider for the Milwaukee 225
The Milwaukee 225 event, with the addition of Wilson, has been attracting sponsors at a rapid rate with the biggest racing event of the year in Wisconsin approaching a month away. The exciting 185-mile per hour action at the historic Mile oval track will have some of the world’s greatest drivers in wheel-to-wheel competition during the Father’s Day weekend spectacular.

After a year hiatus from the historic track, the IZOD IndyCar Series announced last September that AB Promotions has stepped up and taken over the organization and promotion of the Milwaukee 225 Weekend at the prestigious Mile oval.
Wilson joins the growing list of event sponsors for the Milwaukee 224 including Time Warner Cable, Direct Supply, Famous Dave’s BBQ, Coors Light, David Hobbs Honda, Comfort Inn & Suites, Cantaloupe and the Milwaukee Bucks,
The Milwaukee 225 weekend will feature seven unique racing elements during the two-day motorsports extravaganza including races from the IZOD IndyCar Series, Firestone Indy Lights, Star Mazda Championship, US F2000, USAC Silver Crown, USAC Midgets and USAC .25 Midgets (on the special short track).
Competing on the nation’s longest-running race track (since 1903) for the Milwaukee 225 weekend, the list of driving stars will include defending IZOD IndyCar Series champion and Indianapolis 500 winner Dario Franchitti, three-time Indy 500 titleholder Helio Castroneves, two-time series champion and 2009 Milwaukee winner Scott Dixon, former Milwaukee Mile race winners Ryan Briscoe and Ryan Hunter-Reay, and young stars Graham Rahal, Marco Andretti, Danica Patrick and Simona de Silvestro.
Tickets for the June 18-19 Milwaukee 225 at the Wisconsin State Fair Park are now available at the ticket office located at 7722 Greenfield Ave. in West Allis as well as through the www.milwaukeemile2011.com website or by calling 800-722-3840. The action-packed weekend features ticket prices as low as $35 for Sunday infield general admission for adults, $15 for teenagers (12-16) and children under 12 are free. Sunday grandstand tickets begin at $35.
