NCWTS Scores Sixth Consecutive Ratings Increase
SPEED coverage of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race from Texas scored an average Household Rating of .74, up 9 percent from last year’s race on the corresponding weekend (.68, Michigan) according to Nielsen Media Research. Compared to last year’s Texas race, this year’s event was up 3 percent (.74 vs. 72). Friday night’s race, won by former champion Ron Hornaday Jr., peaked at .82.
It marks the sixth consecutive NCWTS race to score a year-to-year ratings increase (Kansas +28%, Martinsville +4%, Nashville +18%, Dover +26%, and Charlotte +42%). To date, live and exclusive coverage of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series on SPEED is pacing up 7 percent year-to-year.
