F1/NASCAR car swap was cool, but……

A reader writes, Dear Ar1.com, As cool as the car swap (between Stewart and Hamilton) was to see and watch, and trust me, as a fan I enjoyed this car swap immensely, can you imagine how cool it would be to have someone like Dario or Dixon or…or…(insert just about any of the good IndyCar drivers) doing something similar at somewhere like Indy or Road America.

Indy would probably make more sense as the F-1 guys have a "book" on set ups and such and it is a place where the drivers could try one another's cars on a road course….

Dreaming of course but just image how cool that could be…. Fred Larimer

Dear Fred, Recall that the first car swap was between Jeff Gordon (NASCAR) and Juan Pablo Montoya (F1 Williams) at Indy years ago just as you suggest. At least it was dry that day so the drivers could get it on. Mark C.
