Scorching weekend on cards in Valencia

Whereas umbrellas were all the rage in Canada just under two weeks ago, a parasol will be of far more use in Valencia this weekend. Once again, nothing but bright conditions are expected in Spain’s third largest city, with daytime temperatures failing to drop below the high 20s.

Although light showers are forecast for the early hours of Friday morning, the weekend is expected to enjoy constant sunshine and ambient figures reaching as high as 31°C (88°F). Since its debut in 2008, the 25-turn street track is yet to witness rain on a Formula 1 weekend.
