Quaife-Hobbs completes second Virgin test
GP3 driver Adrian Quaife-Hobbs was back behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car on Wednesday as Virgin Racing conducted their latest straight line-line aerodynamics run. The test was held at RAF Cottesmore in Rutland, England.
The Marussia Manor pilot, who won his maiden GP3 race in Valencia at the end of last month, first tested for Virgin as the Sheffield squad headed to Spain’s IDIADA facility in Catalonia two months ago.
Although circuit testing is strictly forbidden for F1 teams during the season, each outfit is permitted several straight-line runs for aerodynamic purposes. Quaife-Hobbs is also a member of the team’s Driver Development Program.
