Harvick team signs up with Champion Spark Plugs

Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) and Champion®, a Federal-Mogul brand, announced today a multi-year partnership which includes a Personal Services Agreement (PSA) with NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver and KHI co-owner Kevin Harvick. Champion, the world leader in manufacturing spark plugs for every kind of combustion engine, will also be the primary sponsor of the No. 33 Chevrolet Silverado driven by four-time NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion Ron Hornaday at Michigan International Speedway on August 20 and again at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on October 15.

Alongside the PSA and two Truck Series events, Harvick will become the Champion spokesperson for Federal-Mogul and the Champion brand as part of the multi-year agreement.

"I am really proud to partner with Champion and to serve as their brand spokesperson," said Harvick. "Not only have they been in NASCAR since day one, I've always trusted and used their products."

The Champion brand and its iconic bow tie logo now represent an extensive portfolio of "Performance Driven™" technologies, including spark plugs; oil, air and cabin air filters; wiper blades; and chemical additives for automotive, lawn and garden, marine, motorcycle, ATV and other applications. These products are available through thousands of dealers from coast to coast.

"We are really excited to have Champion as primary sponsor on board this No. 33 Chevrolet," said Hornaday. "Champion makes excellent, trustworthy products and we are thrilled to have them as part of the KHI family."

"We are really looking forward to this exciting opportunity with Kevin Harvick, Ron Hornaday and KHI," said Michael Proud, Director of Marketing, North America, Federal-Mogul. "Having the Champion brand associated with the caliber of drivers like Harvick and Hornaday and to partner with a team as competitive as KHI, we couldn't be happier. Champion's legacy was built upon motorsports so it is really exciting for everyone at Federal-Mogul to be part of a team with such talent. A big thank you to Kevin and DeLana [Harvick] and everyone at KHI who has helped put this program together."
