Boris Said calls Greg Biffle a ‘jackass’

Boris Said still doesn’t agree with Greg Biffle, and it’s still probably a good thing for both of them they will race in different cities this weekend.

The two drivers who nearly came to blows Monday at Watkins Glen spoke to each other Tuesday but still don’t agree on what happened in the Sprint Cup race and still don’t like each other.

“I still think Greg Biffle is a jackass but we’ve settled our differences," Said told reporters Friday after Nationwide Series practice in Montreal. “I won’t be going to Christmas dinner with him, that’s for sure, but I don’t think I’ll be swinging any punches at him, either."

After winning the pole, Biffle was pretty frank in how he feels about Said:

“I don’t like Boris, either," Biffle said. “But we said our piece, and that’s it. … We talked about it on the phone and it’s over."

Biffle was at least in part mad after the Watkins Glen race because Said drove toward Biffle’s hauler after being involved in a late-race wreck involving Biffle’s Roush Fenway Racing teammate David Ragan.

Said wanted to fight Biffle because he felt as if Biffle, who wasn’t on the lead lap, was cutting him off at the Glen.

“He made me mad during the race because he was a jackass," Said said. “And instead of wrecking his car, because I have a lot of respect for Jack Roush, I didn’t do it. I told him over the radio that, ‘I’m going to meet you at your trailer and I’m going to give you the first shot and we’re going to settle it.’

“That’s just the way I am. If we would have both socked each other in the eye, I would have been fine with it and walked out and done." Scenedaily.com
