Jordan: Schumacher has had his day

(PVM) Eddie Jordan has slammed Michael Schumacher for continuing in Formula 1, saying that the seven times world champion has had his day at the pinnacle of the sport and should move aside to allow young talent to flourish.

Irishman Jordan, who gave Schumacher his break twenty years ago at the 1991 Belgian GP, told F1Today during the Bavaria City Racing event in Rotterdam: “This sport has known many champions and Michael Schumacher has had his day."

“He has had many successes and is a very successful driver, but someone should try to talk to him and convince him to make way for other talented young drivers," added the former Formula 1 team owner.
