Ticket sales remain strong for Singapore GP

With just a month to go before the fourth running of the FORMULA 1 SINGTEL SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX, ticket and hospitality sales for Formula One’s only night race on 25th September continue to be strong, with 85% of this year’s targeted sales already achieved. All three-day Zone 4 Walkabout, Stamford Grandstand and Esplanade Waterfront Grandstand tickets are sold out. Premier Walkabout, Connaught Grandstand, Turn 2 Grandstand and Republic (Turn 3) Grandstand tickets are also selling fast, with only limited availability.

Hospitality Sales
In addition to all the places in the Formula One Paddock Club™ being fully sold out for several weeks, all dedicated hospitality suites across the Circuit Park and The Green Room at both Turn 3 and Stamford have now been taken up. Only limited places now remain in the Shared Suites at the Pit Straight, Turn 1 and Stamford. A total of 10,500 places have been released across the Formula One Paddock Club™, Sky Suites, Club Suites and The Green Room.

“While the still improving economy in Asia has given us strong support from the financial, high-end consumer goods, logistics and shipping sectors, new enhanced hospitality and Paddock Club experiences as well as the extensive entertainment line-up have been the key to another sell-out for our hospitality offerings this year," said Mr. Teo Hock Seng, Chairman, Singapore GP Pte Ltd. “We are very aware of the need to offer the highest possible value and quality of service for our corporate clients."

General Ticketing
To date, a total of 70,000 general grandstand and walkabout tickets have been released for each day and year on year, Singapore GP has seen a much earlier take up of tickets.

“We’ve had particularly strong support from Australia, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia and the United Kingdom, where ticket sales increased by approximately 50% on average when compared to last year," said Mr. Michael Roche, Executive Director of Singapore GP Pte Ltd. “We’re delighted that fans’ response to the multitude of offerings has been incredibly enthusiastic."

The Turn 2 Grandstand, Connaught Grandstand and Republic (Turn 3) Grandstand as well as the Premier Walkabout tickets are now almost all sold out, with only limited availability.

The combination of one of the most spectacular seasons of on-track racing coupled with the stellar entertainment line-up including Boy George, Shakira, Linkin Park, Shaggy, Rick Astley, Charice and Massive Attack's Daddy G & 3D have all contributed to the continued sales success as the Singapore Grand Prix enters its fourth year.

The high-value proposition of the Singapore Grand Prix is also a key to the event’s success. A one day Friday walkabout ticket for Zone 4, which includes views of the Marina Bay Street Circuit from ‘bleachers’ at prime trackside viewing locations as well as the main stage in the Padang entertainment area, costs just SGD 38 (GBP 19).

"Building on the glamour of the only Formula One night race, we've packed all three days with an extensive entertainment program featuring the biggest names in music, stunning theatrical-visual productions, retro showcases and electrifying parades. Fans only need the one ticket to enjoy both the thrilling night race track action and all-day entertainment, making a ticket to the Singapore Grand Prix great value for money," said Michael Roche. “By offering an amazing value for everyone with the price of one ticket, we’re confident of delivering another spectacular sporting and entertainment experience for every ticket holder."
