Relentless rain forces Chicagoland Cup race postponement

UPDATE After a day-long waiting game with the rain at Chicago, NASCAR has postponed the Geico 400 until Monday at noon ET.

09/18/11 Before drivers can do battle in Chicago for the Sprint Cup race, jet dryers must compete with rain at the track. For now, NASCAR is in a holding pattern until the weather improves.
