Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Continues at New Hampshire

The second race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup will be run at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, N.H., on Sunday, Sept. 25, and ESPN will a live telecast of the 300-lap race on the 1.058-mile track. The NASCAR Countdown presented by NAPA pre-race show airs at 1 p.m. ET with the race’s green flag at 2:15 p.m. ESPN2 will air NASCAR Sprint Cup practice on Friday, Sept. 23, at 11:30 a.m. as well as qualifying on Friday at 3 p.m. All three telecasts from NHMS will also be available on computers, smartphones and tablets with the WatchESPN app and WatchESPN.com.

Analysts Dale Jarrett, the 1999 driving champion, and two-time champion crew chief Andy Petree will join lap-by-lap announcer Allen Bestwick in the booth to call the action. Two-time champion crew chief Tim Brewer will report from the ESPN Craftsman Tech Garage, while pit reporters will be Dave Burns, Jamie Little, Dr. Jerry Punch and Vince Welch.

NASCAR Countdown from the ESPN pit studio will be hosted by Nicole Briscoe with analysis by 1989 champion driver Rusty Wallace and Brad Daugherty. The studio team will interact with the booth during the race telecasts.

Schrader, Craven, Smith on NASCAR Now Roundtable

NASCAR driver Ken Schrader, ESPN NASCAR analyst Ricky Craven and NASCAR Now lead reporter Marty Smith will be panelists on NASCAR Now’s weekly roundtable discussion program airing Monday, Sept. 26, at 2:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2. Allen Bestwick will host the edition of ESPN2’s daily NASCAR news and information program as the analysts look back at the second race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

NASCAR Now’s one-hour weekend edition hosted by Mike Massaro airs Sunday, Sept. 25, at 9 a.m. with a preview of that day’s race at New Hampshire and the weekend wrap-up edition airs that night at 10 p.m. Smith and Ed Hinton will report from the track while Craven will join Massaro in the studio.

Massaro also will host 30-minute editions of NASCAR Now airing Tuesday-Thursday of this week at 3 p.m. and Friday at 2:30 p.m. NASCAR Now episodes also can be seen on computers, smartphones and tablets with the WatchESPN app and WatchESPN.com.

Countdown Continues for NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series

The NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series races this weekend in the AAA Texas NHRA Fall Nationals at Texas Motorplex in Dallas. ESPN2 will air action from qualifying and eliminations. Qualifying airs on Sunday, Sept. 25, at 2 p.m. ET and coverage of eliminations airs Sunday at 7 p.m. NHRA fans also can watch the full day of eliminations live on ESPN3, ESPN’s signature broadband sports network, starting Sunday at noon. And ESPN3 will have two bonus hours of coverage of Friday night qualifying on Sept. 23 at 6:15 p.m.

Texas Motorplex is one of three all-concrete dragstrips on the schedule (the first of its kind when it opened), which provides optimum traction and allows crew chiefs the opportunity to achieve national record performances. The event, which is the second chance for Countdown teams to earn points, takes place just a week after the Charlotte event, making for a long tow and a quick turnaround for the championship-hungry teams in all four Full Throttle classes.

Paul Page anchors for ESPN with analysis by 22-time NHRA winner Mike Dunn. Gary Gerould and Dave Rieff will report from the pits. All NHRA telecasts also are available on computers, smartphones and tablets with the WatchESPN app and WatchESPN.com.

ESPN Radio Raceday Airs Saturday, Sunday
