NASCAR Charlotte TV Rating

UPDATE ABC's live telecast of the Bank of America 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Saturday night, Oct. 15, earned a 3.2 'Cable' U.S. rating, averaging 5,396,000 viewers, according to the Nielsen Company. The rating is even with the rating for last year's race, which also aired on ABC on a Saturday night. ESPN2's live telecast of the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Charlotte on Friday night, Oct. 14, earned a 1.1 household coverage rating (1.0 U.S. rating), averaging 1,543,000 viewers. Last year's race, which aired on ESPN2 on a Friday night, earned a 1.3 household coverage rating. All of these ratings are 'cable' ratings, not national ratings, which would be somewhat lower. ESPN
