UPS reduces NASCAR involvement
UPS will move its primary sponsorship of the Roush Fenway Racing No. 6 car and driver David Ragan to an associate sponsorship of Roush Fenway’s No. 99 car and driver Carl Edwards beginning in 2012.
The company decreased its team involvement but is keeping its NASCAR deal, with a multiyear agreement to extend its status as the sport’s official logistics partner, meaning it will have space in the garage at the race tracks for pickups and deliveries – i.e. where it can make money back from teams to offset their cost of sponsorship of the No. 99 car.
