John Force and Freightliner announce multi-year deal

John Force Racing, Inc. today announced a multi-year agreement with Portland, Ore.- based Freightliner Trucks where the 17-time NHRA Funny Car championship team will begin to rotate their entire fleet of trucks to Freightliner Cascadia® trucks. In addition to the NHRA race team trucks the agreement will also carry over to the John Force Travelin’ Road Show and the John Force Racing Sponsorship Midway program.

“I could not be more excited about this deal. For one this deal was put together by the new president of JFR, Robert Hight, and secondly for an old truck driver to partner with Freightliner Trucks is about as big as it gets. We have done truck shows with Castrol in the past but to represent Freightliner Trucks in the future makes me very proud. I am looking forward to making appearances at the big truck shows with another big name associated with Freightliner Trucks: ‘The King’ Richard Petty. He is one of my heroes and I can’t wait to represent Freightliner Trucks with him," said John Force, the CEO of John Force Racing, Inc.

“John and I visited the Freightliner Trucks headquarters earlier this year and we were really impressed with all the technology the company puts into products. It was almost like the kind of technology we put into our Ford Mustangs Funny Cars. I am talking about wind tunnel tests just like our race car," said Robert Hight, John Force Racing president.

The multi-year deal will supply John Force Racing with Cascadia trucks, one of the industry’s most efficient and aerodynamic trucks, featuring an ultra-quiet and comfortable cab. The improved sight lines and the extended windshield give the cab an unparalleled look at the road in front of the truck. The Cascadia’s smooth ride helps to reduce driver stress and fatigue.

“We are already talking about taking a road trip next season in our new Cascadia. John grew up in a truck driving family so I know he is really excited about this deal and I am excited to have been able to put it together this season," added Hight.

“John Force Racing is a legendary team with a storied history, and we are thrilled to partner with them," said Stacey Premo, motorsports marketing manager for Freightliner Trucks. “We know the John Force Crew will appreciate all of the comfort and style offered by the Cascadia, and we look forward to getting the next season started."

“The off-season is always busy around John Force Racing and now I am going to have to figure out what my trucker handle will be," joked Force.
